Microsoft previously stated that at this year's E3, it will “completely transform how people think about home entertainment”. The newly rumoured motion controller that detects “full body” movement could be what Microsoft has up its sleeve. According to an anonymous tipster at Engadget, Microsoft is working on a Wii-like sensor that tracks, as I stated above, “Full body” movement in an attempt to improve on the Wii's motion sensing success. This sensor allows the user to kick, punch, duck, dive, jump and so forth and even use precise movements such as pinching, grabbing and scrolling, which in turn, eliminates the need for a controller.

A vision on what it could look like
But wait, wasn't this all done before in Eyetoy? Maybe not to the precise movements of pinching items on screen, but it doesn't really seem like the right direction to head in if Microsoft want to revolutionize the Xbox 360 experience. This new sensor idea will also apparently introduce video conferencing, unique player detection and the ability to to be used in online trivia games, where the player can actually physically buzz in to answer the question. But is it all really worth it? This could all just be a load of cyber trash to get our brains buzzing with anticipation, but even so, it's working.
Does everyone remember the Transformers game that scraped its way onto next gen consoles almost two years ago? A trailer for the latest transformers game has just been released, and I must say, it looks a bit better than the last instalment. As much as I'd like to get my hopes up, it's still Activisions work, and if the last one is anything to go by, they don't really handle Transformers all too well.
Another game in my sites at the moment is Fuel. A huge, open world racer by Codemasters, the incredible developers behind Colin Mcrae DiRT and Racedriver: Grid. Fuel boasts a massive 14,000km² with a full day-night cycle, no loading screens and the ability to choose between a variety of 2, 3 and 4 wheeled vehicles, along with a hovercraft. The new trailer released for Fuel shows off its races or “events” as they are referred to in game. These range from simple checkpoint races, to races where you must conquer challenging terrain to overtake a helicopter. All of which are completely customizable by the player and can be played online with 15 other players, if you ever get bored of the freeroam exploring that is. Fuel is set for release on the 29th of May for Australia, and this new trailer just makes my mouth water even more.
That's it for this weeks wrap up, a pretty quiet week, but rest assured the next few weeks building up to E3 are going to be huge. I'll leave you all with something to ponder on until next weeks wrap up, should Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson be Marcus Fenix in the Gears movie? Apparently, Chris Morgan, the Gears movie screenwriter has his eye on Dwayne. But more on that next week.
